THE BAG THAT BUILDS

By providing a holistic waste solution to the schools (from organic waste to recyclable waste) they are bringing the schools closer towards zero waste to landfill

The projects also incorporate the school’s food gardens and feeding schemes, which are subsidized by the department, however is notenough to feed all of the students.

They collect waste from the surrounding community to sell on thus enabling the project to subsidise the feeding schemes. The TBTB incentive therefore goes directly to the school while children are rewarded with prizes for achieving collection targets. They currently have 6 schools active in the program.
